\"\"Young Adult Kidney Beans (YAKB) is a “support group” created for young adults between the ages of 20-45 years of age, that are facing the challenges of living with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), being on dialysis, awaiting a kidney\u00a0transplant, or\u00a0post transplant. We are faced with many challenges such as limited recreational activities like swimming, dancing, any sport due to extreme fatigue or potential danger of harming one’s port for dialysis.\u00a0 We have to limit ourselves amongst crowds due to being prone to illnesses with our weak immune systems.\u00a0 We struggle with self image and dating relationships. These are just a few issues we face daily.\u00a0 We need each other to encourage one another.\u00a0 It’s been extremely challenging to get the “group” together so I basically stay in touch one on one with people through phone- texting, or phone calls; email, or facebook. If you have interest in becoming a part of this “group” and or have other ideas in getting a “group” together, let me know.<\/p>\n
