Well, it’s a week later, and still haven’t heard anything about being activated. I’m ok because I have a huge decision to make and I don’t know what to do. I saw the hemotologist this week to get all of the Dr’s, nurses, surgeons all on the same page. Like I mentioned before, there are too many people involved!\u00a0Since the whole reason the kidney transplant was unsuccessful due to finding out I have a genetic blood clotting disorder, I have to go on thinners prior to the next transplant. Here’s the dilemma: if I take the pill form, then I have to wait at least 24 hours to\u00a0 have the transplant so the thinner can clear out of my system prior to having surgery. I believe once the organ’s out of the donor, and then placed on ice, there’s only a 24 hour window to get the organ in the recipient’s body. The hemotologist highly suggested to have the shots instead of the pill\u00a0as they\u00a0are\u00a0a smaller window to clear my body. I would have to receve (actually give myself) these shots\u00a0twice a day. Twice a day! Of course the least painful spot to give them (my stomach) is off limits due to my catheter being there. It’s highly advised not to have any sharp objects around the plastic tubing to prevent any accidental punctures. Here’s the real reason for this quandery of a decision- I have no idea when my transplant will occur! It could be next month, or several months away. Do I really want to start blood thinners now?<\/p>\n
In other news I turned a year older last week. I’m looking at this year being “my year”.\u00a0 A friend from church shared with me as she’s going to be 62 this year that “8” is God’s number for new beginnings.\u00a0 Amen to that! Since I turned 35, I took her advice and discovered that 3 + 5 is 8. This is my year for New Beginnings- a new healthy life! New found relationships! New Career?<\/p>\n
– my hemoglobin dropped a little so I have to get my shots again once a week.Also, Blood pressure’s back “to normal” , hallejuah!<\/p>\n
I’m now part of the” Elite Group of Medicare”. You know what’s funny? I couldn’t apply online for this because I’m not 61 years old, ha!<\/p>\n

Still enjoying quality time with “Mr. Right.” And we’re still eagerly waiting to find out if he’s “the match”. He’s so incredibly supportive and also challenges me when needed through this whole process. Everyone sees how deeply he cares for me and it blesses me tremendously.<\/p>\n

Well, it’s getting late. I’m getting sleepy and I still have to do my last treatment before bed. So, I am gling to close for now.<\/p>\n
