{"id":95,"date":"2008-12-10T04:16:19","date_gmt":"2008-12-10T04:16:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/carmensrunway.com\/site\/?p=95"},"modified":"2011-06-29T04:16:46","modified_gmt":"2011-06-29T04:16:46","slug":"december-10-2008-%e2%80%93-the-diagnosis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carmensrunway.com\/site\/december-10-2008-%e2%80%93-the-diagnosis\/","title":{"rendered":"December 10, 2008 \u2013 The Diagnosis"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Hello friends,<\/p>\n<p>The specialist Dr. ( a nephrologist\u2013 specializes in kidneys,  diabetes, hypertension\u2026) had a cancellation Tuesday and was able to see  me.\u00a0 This is totally God and I am so grateful as I was scheduled for  February 2.<\/p>\n<p>I have some sort of kidney disease.\u00a0 Not sure what and the level of  it.\u00a0 I have lost 40% of function in both kidneys.\u00a0 I have protein  spilling into my kidneys and blood in my urine.\u00a0 They found these  through my blood results and urinalysis\u2013 both of these have been  abnormal. My x rays turned out fine because on the outside, things look  \u201cnormal.\u201d\u00a0 They did a biopsy today\u2013 stuck a needle in my back and drew  3-4 samples of my kidney tissue to take a deeper look at things.\u00a0 I  should know results within 3 business days.\u00a0 I have\u00a0a follow up with the  specialist on 12\/17.\u00a0 She will give me my prognosis and then be able to  share the treatment plan.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to all of this\u2013 work wants me to resign.\u00a0 If I don\u2019t  resign, they will terminate me.\u00a0 I am not resigning so that leaves the  other.\u00a0 It\u2019s a blessing in disguise and I do need a change of  environment.\u00a0 It\u2019s just not the best timing with the economic stuff.<\/p>\n<p>Any good leads you have please let me know.\u00a0 I am off work until  Monday, 12\/15\/08 as I am resting\u00a0up , yet using my vacation time (fun I  know).\u00a0 I am\u00a0 interested in pursuing the banking industry- customer  service\/new accounts.\u00a0 I do have about 4 leads with this and will  actively pursue them in the next couple of days.<\/p>\n<p>Also, with my resources of all the great people I have met through my  current job of event planning and a former job with working for a  chamber of commerce\u2013 I am using these folks too.\u00a0 I am scared, yet  excited about this new endeavor that God is taking me.\u00a0 I have though  about the flip side of the event\/meeting planning as well.<\/p>\n<p>I love you all dearly and I know this is all in God\u2019s hands.\u00a0 Thank you for the prayers.<\/p>\n<p>Carmen<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello friends, The specialist Dr. ( a nephrologist\u2013 specializes in kidneys, diabetes, hypertension\u2026) had a cancellation Tuesday and was able to see me.\u00a0 This is totally God and I am so grateful as I was scheduled for February 2.
